SFT UK runs a variety of campaigns focusing on different areas of the Tibetan cause. Many campaigns cross boundaries because Chinese policies affect Tibet and Tibetans on a variety of levels, but you will find a basic breakdown below. In addition to specific campaigns, SFT UK also uses digital media and other means to raise awareness about Tibet, expose news of what is happening in Tibet and make sure that the messages of Tibetans in Tibet who take a stand against Chinese rule are heard.
Campaigns are carried out by SFT UK’s board and volunteers, by our grassroots chapters and by supporters- the more people who take part, the better! Campaigns involve political elelements, such as lobbying parliament and companies, public facing elements such as protest rallies and cultural events and digital media elements such as photo, video and social networking campaigns.
We also place a lot of emphasis on training people, especially young people and students, about the Tibet issue and how to make a difference.
