MEET OUR BOARD
Students for a Free Tibet UK (SFT UK) is run by a voluntary board. The board members work tirelessly to make life difficult for the Chinese government, so that China understands that the occupation of Tibet must end. The board provide leadership on campaigns and organisational strategy as well as training young Tibetans, students and supporters at a grassroots level.
SFT UK does not have an office and the board members generally use their own resources to campaign, fundraise and network to strengthen the non-violent struggle for Tibetan freedom. SFT UK is part of the international SFT network..

SFT UK is always working to develop young leaders to set up their own local chapters and become leaders for the future, including national board members. Board nominations take place once a year as there are a limited amount of positions, but we are always happy to hear from perspective board members. SFT UK believes that this should be a Tibetan-led movement, so we are always especially happy to hear from Tibetans in the UK who would like to be more involved, but also from non-Tibetans. If you haven’t been involved in SFT training before, we recommend you attend an SFT Action Camp or SFT UK’s annual training conference; contact us for more details.
